Its going to be one year since i have to Sweden or Sverige or land of the vikings. Time has just flew by. I met people from all over the world and so far its been a very very rewarding experience. So what have i learnt in this period in academics well i can say i have not improved much, still the same average normal student, going with the flow no original earth shaking ideas. The only thing in this one year i have learnt is to play volleyball from nothing to awesomeness !!!! hehehehe self praise i have a bad habit.
Volleyball to me was totally unknown. One fine day i just went to Tuna skolan just to try it out. Well the first day i dont have such fond remembrance. I did not know about the rules where to stand and hell everybody was bloody 2 feet taller than me. I was very shy and nervous , nervous like hell. I some how managed to stay till the end of the game and my arms hurt like anything. I might as well as forget the first day.
So from next few week onwards i started to go regularly getting a feel of the game. Well needless to say i was bloody pathetic in the beginning. I could see some times some players making faces and grinning making me feel like pathetic.
But there were some people who presence always made me feel a bit relaxed. A Portuguese very bad in speaking english, a Polish guy , The French brigade, A couple of very funny German guys. (One of them was my ted mosby for those who follow How I met your Mom. Then there came a bunch of Swedes I came to know them quite well late ... ..quite late , you know the Swedes they are soooooooo reserved. So where do i start i will start with whatever my mind think about .
Ines
Hmmmmmm Ines what can i say about her. Ines can be put as another term of being rude and direct. A Portuguese girl who probably made fun of every one she met. I learned most of the Vb techniques from her. She would not take it easy and she would always say about things which were not right according to her. She didnt spare any one. "Come on Pradiiiiii" & "come come" some of her trade mark dialogues. Later in autumn semester after i joined her mentor group i got to know her so well. We had more Vb outings and also brunches and lunches etc etc ....... .I miss you queenes , still wish you can come back and play.The French Brigade
The stereo typed French people are the ones that never talk to others but only themselves. But there were three very different French guy/ girls. Adrien, Laetita and Dorine. Adrien was one of those silent quite french guys. Infact i have never seen him to be loud, well except maybe for once maybe at the klostergarden party. He was according to me quite an eccentric player cause he never used to smash. HE had some bullet like serve. He sometimes told me how to play or something but i could not really understand sometimes maybe because of his french-anglo accent.
The next that were two really funny French girls. Dorine and Laetita. Well let me say something about Laetita, she was not one of the best players but she sure knew to have fun and i meant total fun, and oh yeah she liked to pose. I still to this think that she should be a model rather than studying. Dorine on other hand was totally different and maybe because of this they call each other " Partners".
Dorine has a typical professor type looks. And so i call her le professeur of volleyball. She was a goooooooood player and her serves were amazing and very hard to pick up. In all the french brigade were close to me and stilll is .
Cash /Ilker
Cash , Ilker what the hell ?? Why does he have to change his name? Frankly i thought Ilker was one of the guys from the states , a big show off, flirting with girls all the time. It was only after some time that i came to know he was from Turkey. He was one of the other guys who never smashed and now i pretty much know his game. Since i have already labelled him as a show off he had some really coool moves and some time unbelievable. He was a coool dude. Ilker you never played basketball against me.
Duestchland/Germany
Probably the most number of exchange students that come here to study , well erm erm to party and drink like crazy. There were a lot of people to put in togehter Enrico, lukas, Michael, Jan, Susi. So i will just quickly write a few quickies about them
Michael , I remember him saying only one thing "try to use your hand not your legs" was one of those guys who stayed up late till 2 at night. HE never got angry and when he was extremely pissed he would just say "fuck off" and that too silently.
Enrico, to me he was the Grand papa who looked after everyone and took care of every minute detail. The funniest thing he might have done was to bring lunch in valborg !!!!!!
Susi to me she was really unpredictable sometime she would be in a really good mood and sometimes she looked as if " hey mind your fucking business" , i used to think a lot before answering her not knowing how she would react.
Lukas well well what can i say MR checker who went after every girl in Lund and what more can i say . A guy studying MEchanical from Darmsdat .... i need not say more maybe sometime later when i am really in a very funny mood i will just post something. oh yeah you have a very good jump serve luki!!!!
Kamil
Can i ever play along side with him? Play naaaaah when we are in the same team we only laugh and laugh out loud. His digging of jokes from his gold mine well i cannot say anything but say that it is priceless!!!!!!!! He used to explain every bit every technique with some freaking chemistry behind. one of the guys who leave in the end in the very end and says "greeen" on the traffic junction hahahahaha you are always funny.
Maddie
I knew her pretty much from the beggining but it was only in fall that we became mad-die and prad-die. What can i say about her scientific jokes and mis placement of words. She can be credited with the Vb dance with Ines. One of the most active persons and when she joins with \Kamil and when most of the jokes are on me then it becomes a bit like i should shoulder slam them at the same time. I am not even spared in facebook and now to them i am a girl , how excruciating. A very annoying fact about her that she always leaves parties @ 10 !!! can you believe it @ 10!!!!!!!The Palmer Brothers and Remaining Swedes
Well not to be rude i have to write about them in the end.
They came in the autumn semester, and trust me no one liked them in the beginning especially tobbe cause he never used to set and used to play all by himself. But hey that was just the beggining everything has changed now. Johan from one of the shy guys is turning into a party animal , credit to me :)))) and Tobbe at least he sets the ball sometimes and also he is a metal head and metal heads are good persons. jepser i hate you !!!!! you stepped on my hands so many times and all before exams.
Johan you seem to be a very very very good cook .
eNow i have to come to know about new people like linnea(the girl with smiling face), hanna , joakim and hope this will continue and since i have started writing i will write whatever comes in my mind which is mostly crap. Damn battery running low so hejdo for now and all i can say i was very lucky to be part of Tunaskolan vb fraternity. More will follow soon
So i need to fit in more people as i seem to have forgotten a few people, Jens , Linnea , Hanna, Anders, Carl.
Let me start with Jens! To put it in a simple way he is poker loving easy going and Definitely a facebook hater. Jaaaa Facebook hater , he hates it so much that he even has a different name , that seems a bit strange right. Probably one of the shorter guys in the team .An awesome setter but the only problem with him is he is so easily annoyed , he cant stand any one playing bad , if any one does boy you need to see his expressions.
Coming back to the other people , i would just summarize them into the Bio tech group of TLTH. It is only after a year o boy after an year that we came to know each other quite well. Linnea , she is always smiling and that i dont like because you never ever know whats up in her mind. She is one of the good players and one who plays intelligently a very very cunning player. Hanna is like a rock star out of rolling stone magazine. Like a wild child. Yeah thats the best to describe her!
