A brief recap

So in a few days a new year will start. Its been a quite a good 2010 till now. So I thought of putting up all the players and people involved in Tunaskolan in one common page at least to put all the ones I have come across till now. (that’s a big list btw)

So here it goes,  I will try to put them in an alphabetical order if possible.

Adam: Adam was one of the very first person . well Swedish player whom I met in my initial pathetic days of playing vb in Tuna. He has a very distinct way of talking which quite a lot of times I cannot follow but nonetheless I make it out as in what happens and what he wants. He is one of the cleanest players in the vb circuit. He has some unusual ways of playing one being the one stop by foot which he combines his football skills with his vb skills and what comes out of this mixtures is pure form of genius. A really funny guy when he is drunk , I guess no one has seen him drunk yet . He is at par to me getting drunk. There is going to be a new joke next semester about you Adam I am sorry about it its going to be about EVA.

Agnes:  One of the what to say the shorter people who have been playing volleyball in Tuna. Well I can safely say that playing volleyball it is not necessary to have a very good height. A sheer waste of good talent is for example Max.  So Agnes is a smaller breed of players who according to me is one of the very good setters of the game. Except of course me (my blog so I need to praise myself whenever possible). She has a very deceptive back set or a dummy set which can fool any of the players . Some times she has an awesome side cutting spike or that’s what I call it , I am still trying to understand the pattern but this spike is one of those which always crosses the net in slow motion and it is often quite irritating both by the fact that you lose a point and it is very slow and you cannot do much about it. A probable weakness of her might be a weak serve , which surprisingly though fetches a lot of points.

Anamaria:  Anamaria she comes to vb just ot have pure fun. For her its like a party and why not it’s a game you must have only fun and nothing else. I had met her a couple of times before Tuna at various corridor parties and she is a party girl to put it straight. And sometimes it amuses me so much that she is doing her Phd and getting paid according to me to travel which she denies but I still stand by my conviction. That is just not so fair.

Dorine and Laetita:  By far my favourite and the best French exports. It is impossible to separate them as I had already might have written before. I call them the professeur and the style queen. The style queen is of course unbeatable in any sense of fashion of course I am coming close to it . She has what I call a very photogenic face , she can make any photo funny.And yes she likes everything in this world or maybe the universe. Dorine , dodo , dada oh my god so many nick names she is according to me one of the most famous French persons I have met more so than the great French tennis star Mary Pierce. She called her bike, Roger and she is one of the very sophisticated players I have met .  She always led the French brigade. I  miss both of you for all the right reasons.

Eva Sperling : The schieeessgaal girl from Dortmund. One of the most well trained players in the circuit. When she first came we I remember me and Nathaniel thought “oh shes a girl dressed up like a professional, we can easily handle her” and boy we were so fucking wrong. She has a very lethal lethal serve. God she is fast and so dedicated and it is always fun to play with her. Because of these qualities she has won a lot of admirers. Of all I would like to mention what I call “ THE MYSTERIOUS OLD GUY” . I think Eva has found her love in this TMOG guy. He is always there some where in close vicinity of eva. Always watching just like Uncle Barney. Well I wish Eva a very blissful life with the TMOG. By the way you need to practice a lot in Badminton .

Flore : The reason I said dorine is like a French celebrity is because of Flore. She is one of the newest vb player from France and guess who is the common link dorine chenier.   She has everything in common with Dorine except for the height. She has a very swinging left arm serve. To me it looks whenever she plays vb she is doing a ballet dancing or something like that. We of late have started a new form of dance which I would call “In the net dance”.  Also made famous by Kamil is the new motto “To the florrrreee “which it seems I blurted out when I was a bit tipsy and just a bit tipsy.

Ines Grilo: My coach safely to be said . She taught me everything from basics through her not so good English.  She is one of the most straight forward person and being mean is just one of her characteristics. Or maybe I can say being mean defines her. She can kick any ones ass very easily without any problem or care.  She has a very good sense of the game and a killer serve a killer serve and a killer serve. The repetition of the last sentence three times just tells how intense was her serve. This girl is being missed mainly because of the fact that there is no one as mean as her and I am trying so desperately to fill in the gap.

Ilker: Cash , Ilker what the hell ?? Why does he have to change his name? Frankly i thought Ilker was one of the guys from the states , a big show off, flirting with girls all the time.  It was only after some time that i came to know he was from Turkey. He was one of the other guys who never smashed and now i pretty much know his game. Since i have already labelled him as a show off he had some really coool moves and some time unbelievable. He was a coool dude. Ilker you never played basketball against me.

Jens or Jr_Sb: Is it possible for a guy who is 4 ft 10 to play vb and clear the net? Here is the answer . Jens a facebook hater infact he is an everything hater except of course poker and volleyball. I feel quite happy when I see him in the courts cause then I say “oh look at that short guy :hahahah”. He according to me is one of the richest Swedes , I can draw conclusions on that from the very fact that he goes now and then to Las Vegas for vacation and women (as he says , I doubt it ) He is for everyone reading the blog a left hander. Nonetheless he is a character you cannot ignore. Yes a character. 

Lukas Schimdt & Lucia: I will club these two Germans though they are totally opposite in character together.

Lukas oh boy what do I tell about him. A very big reason for him to come to Tuna was to hit on Swedish girls. A special term was coined for him which we commonly known as Mr  Checker.   When Mr Checker is around no girl is safe every girl will be scanned and checked by him. He was also known as the piss master as I think he holds the record for peeing in as many student corridors as possible. I wont write much about his vb skills as he had none (well just kidding) . He is also known for his “Grand Pa  Dance” which according to him attracted girls but according to me was a very lame and pathetic way of wooing girls. I was his able wingman but despite my very good record as a wingman I could not attribute much success to his case , for me it was like fighting for a lost cause.

Lucia on the other hand was a girl who was always smiling one of the few girls from my initial mentor group who came to vb. She was always fun and I guess she made the most of it during her stay here.

Linnea: One sentence that describes her the best “The girl with the eternal smile” she is one of the people I have known of late. A very friendly and I don’t know why always smiling which is like for me quite weird. She is not surprisingly very quite and most often I  don’t get  what she says I just guess or maybe I am so used to listening to high pitched voice.

Madeleine Errikson & Kamil: It is completely impossible to imagine my stay here in Sweden without her. Thanks to her we have become a character together. Thanks to her I am one of the sickest person in Sweden/.Maddie och Praddie is what i that can be best put as like "Laurel and Hardy" , "Tom and Jerry"  me being Jerry cause of reasons like size and smartness or put in regards of sitcoms "chandler & joey" , i am confused which character would suit us !! As already mentioned i meet some amazing people and most of the people i have met have stayed only for 6 months or 1 year and yet we have some amazing friendship left. Maddie is one of the longest known atleast people i know including Kamilia.
So Maddie , you will be sort of deceived by pleasant outlook. She is always laughing and initially i didnt even know the reason why ?? But now i know she suffers from a mental illness known as "Mad-die-phonic" which will make you laugh rather unnecessarily . So thats a brief outlook for those who have not met Maddie yet.
So what is Praddie and Maddie taken together, it is nothing but a recipe for disaster. This receipe was formulated by a very evil chemist from Poland , Kamilia. I guess no one understands Maddie -Praddie effect better than him./her.
When Maddie and Praddie talk , its like a cryptic language in English which not even Maddie och Praddie understand and the only thing that happens is a lot of miscommunication.  Partly it is because of the fact that Maddie has really a poor poor english which she only understands. Yeah yeah Praddie like a true saviour is trying to improve her english but so far little success has been achieved. Infact Praddies english is going down.One of the funny things that happen when Kamilia, Maddie and Praddie play together they become lethal and mostly win unless the fourth guy is Jens . He is the weakest link and also short yeah yeah he is shorter than Praddie and a guy who can only use his left hand to smash. The funny thing is that JJ explains to every setter that he is a left handed guy and wants the set to be on the left side . But it always the vice versa he either ends up smashing in the net or doing a clumsy stuff which of course is enjoyed by kamilia and me. When KMP play the another thing happens is series of really bad jokes coming from Kamilia , till example there was an instance when i\praddie was shouting for score kamilia with his highest sense of intellegensia replied back by "schol" jajajaajaj a tough thing to pick out from. Maddie keeps saying Purple princess to Praddie which i think is quite not fair. Its because of Maddie that Praddie sometimes start thinking like a girl. There has been quite instances that praddie was sucked into girly gossips by maddie. Perhaps due to prolong exposure to Maddie , PRaddie also replies back to her girly gossips. Damn i have to stop getting sucked into gossips. When Preaddie protests then Maddie has a simple answer " I love gossiping with you ???"
I think the only thing that drives these two characters together Praddie(smart, awesome, atheletic , rockstar, amazing ,legendary ....) and Maddie(definately not smart, not awesome, athletic partly, pleasing personality yes yes a definite yes, gossip monger tick ) is the fact that opposites attract and stick together.
The very thought that Maddie and Praddie wont be always be like what it is now , makes a bit sad. But all good things come to an end and so will this be ,but perhaps a million years later maybe..

Piotr: Charles recently told me , you guys have helped Piotr to open up. And he is very true. He was a little time ago one of the most shy guys in tuna hardly used to talk . I came across him sometimes in LTH now and then. He is one of the most helpful guys I have come across. One of his best qualities is his resourcefulness with bikes. I have never seen any one who is so good in fixing bikes as he is. He is a part of the tea gang . I am happy to see he is more into mixing now and he also hopes to become a mentor which is a very good sign.

Palmer Brothers: Oops I lost my concentration while writing and its my third hour writing and I kind of realised that I missed out on a few people. So about the palmer brothers who were so hated iat the beginning as mentioned before are now one of the most funniest and different set of brothers having some distinct qualities.

One of the most common trait is their facial appearances where every one confuses each of them with the other. The other most irritating factor is the fact their lack of ability to listen and interpret what have been said. For example diary been converted into Diaorehha and milk been converted into meat. I can understand tobbes fascination for meat. As he does nothing but eat. Jesper on the other hand has this unique ability to make a good joke and to kill the joke immediately by a very lame joke. Ahh another point to notice is his lack of ability to get a joke. It roughly takes around a minute or two for him to realize a joke. And his late reaction becomes a joke. He also has a facial expression “sssuppp”  

Talking about johan I can say he is the recipe guy. He follows everything just as the recipe says nothing here and there. He follows it all too well which is good and irritating at the same time. His sarcasm well unfortunately he only gets. It was fun to follow world cup with Tobbe and Johan this semester. (though ir was like watching like Swedish people:D)

Nathaniel: The French Canadian with a mysterious mug. He is one of the better players to play and he always comes with a mug in his hand. The mug has everything in it, it is like pot where you can smell and taste wine, coffee , rum and occasionally water. Since he is French Canadian he also has some weird habits like …. Bread cheese choclate cake and salami. I don’t know for what exact reason he is also called German. Oh come on how can you do that he has a very distinct French English accent.

Serena: She is a perfect example of what happens when you change from Erasmus to Phd. During her Erasmus days she was every where , every party ,every nation. Now she is elusive hardly to be seen except in willys one time or other. She had started off well with volleyball dinner and few regular sessions in volleyball but then she unfortunately hurt her leg and stopped coming. Though she recovered she finds it hard to come. Ohhh Serena you have to start coming and play the beautiful game. I hope next year is a different thing all together.

Till: Can a physics guy play volleyball or let alone any sports ? The answer is kind of a “no”  but then again there is no vb without Till. One can actually see the various concepts if physics in Till. The common ones being elasticity , waves and hand and feet delay. One can very well imagine from the fact that it is always hi5larious to watch him play. Just watching his antics is a joy . Without till well Tuna would be incomplete whether one likes it or not.

Anne: I nearly forgot her and that is kind of impossible now. Anne Schumacher who started out as my mentee has now become a mentor. How could that happen. She initially sucked in vb but of late she has improved a lot. She always likes to criticize me preferably and one of her fav things to say is “why cant you be like Carl ??” Well nonetheless she is a very strong girl who can lift me up like a bag ( I feel quite sad to write about it) She is indeed very helpful helping me out during my ankle injury along with others. Another thing she does is to take care of me when I am drunk . Ohh I always need some one when I am full as a kastrull. There are a millions of funny incidents with her the one famous being my oscar winning acting of leaving for home early. Me scaring her off with my fake teeth. Me beating her in snowball fight. :D

Pradyumna : Best described by three words “ Simply the best” and often by one common word “awesome” 

I feel as I have lost my rhythm totally so I will continue soon once I get back my rhythm.
